What inspires you when illustrating?

It could be anything! I get inspired by beautiful design whether it be from nature, architecture, fashion or the arts. 1920's Chinoiserie and beautiful unique antique pieces will always get my heart racing.

When did you first know illustration and design is what you wanted
to do?

I have always drawn, painted and sewn and have always been crafty. It was a natural progression to move from childhood hobbies into chasing a creative career path.

What is the most exciting project you have been involved with?

The past 12 months have seen all the blood sweat and tears I have poured into my freelance work really take off and I have had great opportunities come my way with a selection of fantastic corporate clients and brands like Elle Magazine Australia, Dermalogica, Mecca Cosmetica, Myer and Pacific Fair. However my most exciting project to date is my two year old little man, Sam. He is a bundle of crazy toddler energy that keeps me on my toes every day.

What are your plans for the future?

Continue to work on building my freelance illustration empire! I am very excited to see where the future will take me career wise and open to all sorts of possibilities. One goal is that at some point in the future I will be able to work on a collaboration with my favourite label Valentino. Making Daydreams reality!
